See the work of dozens of local artists

Gallery 201 is the only gallery in downtown Brooksville. Located inside Brooksville City Hall, Gallery 201 showcases artists and attracts guests from Hernando County, surrounding areas, and sometimes out-of-state. Gallery curator Pedram Moghaddam invites artists of all mediums to join in on the shows year-round.

Check out other city-sponsored art projects

This partnership is one of many that support the arts in the city of Brooksville. When you arrive at city hall, you will either see a metal sculpture of a Knight donated by local artist, James Oleson or a mermaid statue painted by Arielle Katarina depending on which side of the building you enter! Upon arrival, ask for what else is currently on display downtown!

Meet & mingle with local artists and art lovers

Opening receptions are a great place to meet like-minded individuals. Whether you are looking to meet the artist behind your favorite piece or make a new friend with a shared love for art, we urge you to join us and engage our local art community. The city prides itself on bringing people together at these receptions.

Experience quarterly shows and events

In 2023, there are 4 shows lined up for the community to enjoy. This does not include the pop-up experiences that are newly featured at Gallery 201. Each show begins with an opening reception where all are invited to enjoy refreshments and entertainment while exploring the gallery halls. Come for the art, and stay for the show!

Current show: Shades of Purple

Purple is a beautiful color that combines the high energy of red with the stability of blue, leaving a shade that is known to evoke emotions on each and every level. Each shade tells its own story - light lavender leaves many in an ethereal mindset, while royal purple gives a deep richness known to deliver feelings of power and pride. Join us in a show inspired by this beloved color, leaving the gallery draped in purple hues of inspiration and creativity!
